Prolonged injury suffered by Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard made him start thinking to retire from England national team. After 11 years wearing England national team uniform, Gerrard feels his career with The Three Lions will end soon. Gerrard still hoping to be called by Fabio Capello in the England squad that will compete in EURO 2012 event in Poland and Ukraine. After that, Gerrard intends to retire from England national team because of age who no longer young.

Gerrard is also ambitious to bring England national team success in EURO 2012. According to him, the success key of The Three Lions in EURO 2012 is on the role of Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney. Gerrard deeply regrets if Capello can not bring Rooney into England national team squad in EURO 2012, who threatened not to play for England in three group stage matches due to UEFA sanctions.
