Defending champion, AC Milan started 2011/12 Serie A with less satisfactory results. AC Milan failed to open Serie A new season with a win following a hard-fought 2-2 draw with Lazio at San Siro ( September 10, 2011 ).
Milan fans made shocked by two Lazio new forwards, Miroslav Klose and Djibril Cisse. They are successfully bring Lazio leading 2-0 first. Klose made a goal in 12th minute after receive assist from Stefano Mauri. In the 21st minute, Djibril Cisse bring Lazio leading 2-0. Cisse goal is from Stefano Mauri assist again.
Milan finally able to rise. Zlatan Ibrahimovic successfully reduce the score to 1-2 in 29th minute. 4 minutes later, AC Milan success made the score to 2-2 through goals from Antonio Cassano. In the second half, AC Milan try to control ball possession. But, Il Diavolo Rosso failed to add goals. Until the match end, final score 2-2 for AC Milan and Lazio.
