Steed Malbranque |
A great sacrifice made by former Fulham, Tottenham and Sunderland midfielder, Steed Malbranque. In order to spend more time to care for his child who was ill with cancer, Malbranque decides retired from football.
Malbranque made the decision shortly after signed two-year contract with Ligue 1 club, Saint Etienne. Malbranque had just left Sunderland on transfer market this summer. In St. Etienne, Malbranque has played once as a substitute player.
Yet also complement this season with his new club, the decision to retire should be made by Malbranque. Although born in Belgium, Malbranque also has French citizenship and played for France national team U-21. Malbranque began his career at Olympique Lyonnais before moving to England with Fulham in 2001.
