Bayern Munich challenge Barcelona in Audi Cup final 2011

Bayern Munich became the opponent of Barcelona in the final of the Audi Cup 2011. The hosts went into the final after a penalty shootout win over AC Milan. Match between Bayern and Milan preceded by a ceremonial for Mark van Bommel. This action is indeed to be the return of former captain of Bayern's to Allianz Arena.

Playing in front of fanatical supporters, Bayern was struck by Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal in the 3rd minute. Starting from a feed lot, Ibrahimovic easily beat Manuel Neuer. Bayern's midfield weakness was almost repeated in the 12th minute. Luckily, Neuer had foiled Antonio Cassano opportunities facing one on one with him.

Apart from those opportunities, Bayern dominated the game more. However, only one successful goal through Toni Kroos scored in the 34th minute. Results 1-1 of this lasted until the end of the game. In the penalty shootout, all kicker Bayern successfully perform their duties. From Milan, Alberto Paloschi failed to score. Bayern went into the final with a 5-3 victory on penalty kicks and following Barcelona who have first passed.
