Drawing Champions League Group Stage season 2011/12 is over before the announcement of the winner UEFA Best Player 2010/11. Finalists two seasons ago, Bayern Munich incorporated in group A with Villarreal, Manchester City and Napoli. Three Bayern rivals in this group is strong teams in Liga BBVA, Premier League and Serie A.

Meanwhile the defending champion, Barcelona incorporated in group H with AC Milan, BATE Borisov and Viktoria Plzen. In group D, Real Madrid will return to face difficult rival, Olympique Lyonnais. The last two seasons, Madrid had to fight with Lyon in the round of 16. While in 2005/06 and 2006/07, Madrid and Lyon met in the group stage. Of the eight games, Los Blancos won only once.

In group E, Chelsea have to face Valencia. Chelsea new player, Juan Mata is former Valencia player last season. Champion two seasons ago, Inter Milan got a group of relatively mild. In group E, Inter Milan incorporated with OSC Lille, CSKA Moskva and Otelul Galati.
